I love the plug and play quality of this game. Now that my 6 1/2 year old knows how to do it, he can plug it in and set it up on his own. He LOVES it! My 5 year old daughter loves it too, but it's still hard for her. You need to work the remote in your hand and the board with your feet at the same time, so the game has a learning curve for kids who aren't physically coordinated. I wouldn't recommend this for kids under 5. As others have stated, the graphics are poor quality, but the kids don't seem to care or notice. I'm not sure this would entertain an older kid - it might depend on his/her video game experience. This is our first video game.
Plug and Play Skateboarding... Wii substitute for 7 yr old

We ordered this toy for our 7yr old son who's recently become a skateboarding fanatic... he loves it. Once he figured out how to control the direction (he rides goofy) he began to really run around the courses. The graphics are ok for this age, but probably not enough for older kids. I'd recommend it as an "off the couch" video game that is fun for younger ones.
Lots of Fun!!! Durable and works well on any tv.

My son loves skateboarding, but I am terrified of him being injured. This toy is a safe alternative to the real thing and is lots and lots of fun! The graphics are great and the player can do lots of tricks to make points. Game simply plugs directly into any television set---no programming or extra cords---does require a few batteries. Skateboard is pretty durable--small adult can safely stand on the board w/out damaging the toy. Good buy if you have an avid skateboarder in the family. Girls love to play the game too!
80's style graphics are hard on adult eyes

I purchased this for my 6 year old son, he loves it and isn't having a hard time with it at all... my teenager daughters who are confirmed gamers were given the task of showing their brother how to play this new purchase. I am happy to say I was out of the general area for most of the training session, the graphics are ok if you are 6 years old but I think anyone older who plays video games will be driven nuts by the graphics of this game. ( I only can write this because I was ready to bring out some cheese to go with the whines of my daughter's over the graphics!) If the need came to replace this game I would buy it again, just because my son really has fun with it.
